The demon dog caught sight of Spike about to attack, and swatted him away with one of his massive paws. The wind was knocked out of him as he went flying backwards into the cave wall. It cushioned the impact a bit, the wall cracking, and Spike fell to the floor in a heap.

Sharp squirmed out of the demon dogs one handed grip, and shuffled away in fright. The demon dog attention was focused on Spike, and didnt notice Sharp frozen against the cave wall, legs unable to stand or run away.

Spike came squinted from the pain from the impact, as he got himself back up. There was no time for thinking, no strategizing, the demon dog was approaching him to do who knows what, he was outclassed physically, and Sharp was too shaken with fear to be of any help.

He had one trick up his sleeve, though he had no idea if it would work, he was out of options. Spike stood tall and inhaled deeply, since he was only going to get one shot.
