Rarity had received a mysterious package from a GRRREAT and POWERRRRFUL admirer of her line of clothes. She opened the package and found a beautiful golden oil lamp inside. She read the accompanying letter, that only said: “May your wishes become true, so you can keep making other’s wishes come true. I love your clothes. I look forward to buy your new collection soon. Love and cheers. TGAPT.

P.S The lamp is a bit dirty, you might want to clean it rubbing it.”

Rarity shrugged it off and admired the lamp. It was indeed a bit dirty. She took the lamp with her to her room, upstairs. Rarity grabbed a handkerchief and rubbed the lamp with it and suddenly, with a loud poof, her friend Rainbow Dash appeared. There is no need to say that Rarity fainted on the spot, both from the unexpected smoke explosion coming from the lamp AND from seeing her old time friend being the genie that came out.

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes at the dramatics of her friend and turned one of her own arms into a hose and splashed some water on Rarity’s face to wake her up.

Rarity woke up, looked at Rainbow Dash and fainted again. Rainbow Dash was NOT amused. She produced some aromatic salts, and leaned to her friend and master and woke her up a second time.

“It is okay, Rarity, my master… you really are delicate as always, huh?” said Rainbow smiling.

“Ra-rainbow… how?… why? when? Why are you a genie? What happened to your beautiful legs?“

“That’s a long story… for another time” said Rainbow blushing a bit for the compliment.

“Stop referencing movies, Rainbow.“

“Alright, alright, there we go…”

“WOW! So that means that I can really ask you anything, right?” said Rarity, joining her hands and making small girly mini-jumps.

“As long as it does not imply bringing the dead back from the other side, killing someone or making somebody fall in love with somebody else… everything goes.“

“That’s fair enough…” Rariy bit her lip and thought and finally said “Oh my! I just can imagine what I can achieve if I had infinite geniality! If I was, in the fashion world, a very stable genius!“

“Mmmm, I like how you think… and also… I like the fact that you didn’t go for the “I want infinite money” or “infinite power” route! I know the beautiful heart of my friend” Rainbow winked. “And now that we are in the business of helping your mind, would you like something to be done with your problem of being so faint-prone?”

“Okay, that’s good. Will it cost me two wishes or just one?“

“It depends on the formulation” she winked again.

“Alright, then… Rainbow Dash, genie of my lamp, I wish I had infinite geniality and enough bravery to avoid fainting ever again!”

Rainbow Dash smiled mischieviously. “Well, my friend and master, there’s a lot of gray area in “I wish I had infinite GENIE-ality”… but lemme see what I can do.”

She charged a powerful blast and with a loud poof, Rarity became a genie.

“Ra- Rainbow… what? Why did you turn me into a genie?“

“Oh don’t worry Rarity, I have not finished yet!” and with that Rainbow produced several magic strings that altered Rarity’s mind. Rainbow turned her friend braver, tougher, keeping a balance of femininity and yet, giving her a mindset that was similar to her own. Rainbow took the freedom to turn her friend into a tomboy genie.

“Everything is coming along nicely, according to the wish of my master Trixie! And I get to have fun with my fellow tomboy genie friend!” thought Rainbow Dash as she started cutting Rarity’s curls and long hair, leaving her with a pixie cut. Rarity looked down and watched her own lamp turn into a clunky, simple, somewhat masculine steel teapot, her frilly-girly underwear becoming a mariner-inspired telnyashka bikini.
