“So I finally finished watching the first season of Steven Universe, and it was pretty good. I decided to draw Celestia as Rose Quartz, which I’ve seen many comparisons and art between them. And with good reason. Both are wise, compassionate leaders who made the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good (for Celie, it was banishing Nightmare Moon to prevent Equestria from falling into darkness, and for Rose, it was giving up her physical form to ensure that Steven is born).

I’m really invested into this show, and I can’t wait to watch more of it! I might do a variant of this piece, but with Celestia’s mane colors.”
