So, basically, this is how they all got pulled together. Twilight and Trixie were dating first, Twilight asked if it was ok if she could also date Rainbow. With much hesitation, persuasion, and reasuring, Trixie let Twilight do so. Twilight of course offered up the idea of all of them being in a relationship, but Trixie declined, she wasn’t into Dash and didn’t think they had much in common. ‘Plus she’s way too arrogant, unlike Trixie’, was Trixie’s opinion of her. But after spending some time alone together, thatTwilighttotallydidn’tsetupwhatdoyoumean Rainbow some how swept her off her hooves. After spending a lot time together, they end up in a very close relationship.

There would obviously be a story and all that, I’m just giving you brief summary.
