After a moment of post-takeoff nausea, Clover regains her senses and shakes her head in the crisp, cool air.
Don’t you get cold being up here, jeez! Clover asks various questions about pegasus ponies as they take off into the sky, above the thick fog. Shanty swoops south, from what Clover can guess, trailing just beneath the fog for the moment.
“Oh, wings are lots of fun. Great for giving massages, too. And yep! I’d say the vast majority do, but if you like having a job that isn’t cloud related, you’ll probably live closer to the dirt. And they’re beautiful; much better than any earth pony city, but not as structurally stable. Nah, it’s not that bad, we’ve got lots of fluff. And I wouldn’t put us in the same boat as griffons. That’s like saying an eagle gets along with a swan!
Shanty tilts her head, thinking.
“Actually, I don’t know if they DO get along with swans. I wouldn’t imagine so. At least, not very much… you get what I mean. Close your eyes, and don’t open them until I say so, alright?
Clover does as she’s told, burying her snout into the purple mane in front of her as she feels herself soaring upwards into the sky.
“Okay kid… you can look now.”
