There have been reports of a tentacle beast, ahem, assaulting ponies who travel through the Everfree Forest. Rather than simply chase it away or shoot it, Twilight does what she usually does: a needlessly complicated likely-to-cause-damage and morally questionable abuse of the dark arts to solve a simple problem (Just like Lesson Zero and Bats!).
