just a tad late but here is some fluff featuring some dads

1) Discord was pretty uncomfortable around his son for a little while, but quickly warmed up after the tyke started talking, especially when Lark first called him “dad”. He had never been a dad before. Larkspur was his baby, but, even the most loving relationships can fade. Still, it was fun while it lasted.

2) Niko and his dad are close. When Doc brought his son down to his lab for the first time, Niko just knew, even at five years old, this was where he had to be for the rest of his life. It was Doc Whooves that nursed Nickel’s flare for flames, and it was through him that Niko earned his cutie mark. I forgot to mention that Niko has five siblings, with him being the second eldest. Over the years of baby after baby, his relationship with his dad became less tight, but Niko knows his father cares deeply for him. After all, he’s his first born son, right?

3) Like Discord, Dumbell had a tough time warming up to his little accident. He liked how Halien’s grumpy faces looked just like Gilda’s, and after he gained custody of Halien (not due to family drama, but Gilda wasn’t sure she’d be a great mom since moms and domestic life were pretty foreign concepts to her. Additionally, there were some facts about griffin life that Dumbell couldn’t accept. To summarize, Halien had a brother, and well…there’s this thing called siblicide in the griffin world. And no, Halien doesn’t know he pushed his brother out of the nest. The two are broken up, but not bitter toward each other.) he eventually fell in love with his tiny bird boy. He would train him to be the best flyer Canterlot had ever seen, grumpy baby face and all.
