I know a lot of people have their own AU´s of MLP characters as humans, but I couldn´t resist to add my own to the pile.

In this one, The world of Equestria remains the same as well as some of the events in the show, comics, etc. Unicorns still have magic, Pegasi can still fly and Earth Ponies still Earth Pony. The most obvious difference is their being humans. Unicorn characters can produce wands to perform magic, Pegasi can fly without wings and Earth Ponies… remain mostly the same.

Their characters also remain mostly the same, but some of them are slightly modified according to my own headcanons. In this case we have:

Name: Sunset Shimmer (AKA Perfection. AKA My Favourite.)

Age: 26

Occupation: Pop star/Music teacher (Former Anarchist)

BIO: Before Twilight Sparkle was Celestia´s prized student, there was another. That other was a prodigious young girl by the name of Sunset Shimmer. Sunset came from a not very standout household. She was the younger of two siblings, but even though she was ambitious and smart, her parents mostly had eyes for her brother, Sunburst. Regardless, out of the two, she was the one to remain in Celestia´s special class, and because of her brilliance and quickness to grasp different subjects, she became admired by both students and faculty members. And to a young girl, especially one who has been looked down upon for most of her life, that can get on one´s head.

Soon enough, soft spoken, humble Sunset became arrogant and entitled. As she continued to gather followers and excel at her classes she started to believe it was her destiny to become Celestia´s successor. Of course, Celestia was dissapointed at the darkness growing inside her pupil, reminding her of the fate that fell on her own sister. So when Sunset straight up demanded to be made Queen, Celestia expelled her. This caused Sunset to grow bitter and resentful, and thus she began to plan her revenge.

For years she began to gather knowledge and resources in order to get revenge. Her anger got worse when the Elements chose new bearers. One of which seemingly being Celestia´s new star student. She decided at last to dethrone Celestia and take the Elements of Harmony for herself. This eventually backfired when the stolen Element of Magic corrupted her and turned her into an angry monster, bearing her worst traits to the world. Fortunately, she was stoped by Twilight and her friends, and turned back to normal, but she had already seen what her actions lead to.

Greatly humbled by this expierence, she sought to make it up to the rest of Equestria. People were hesitant at first, but support from her new group of friends, as well as her being instrumental in stoping threats like the Sirens, made Sunset into a loved figure in Equestria, and a sign of how much one can change. She is especially liked for her calm, mellow and very empathic demeanor.

She still has very ugly anger issues though, so watch out.

Nowadays, Sunset lives in Manehattan, where she has begun a very succesful music career (Behind Countess Coloratura, but ahead of Sapphire Shores and Songbird Serenade) and has given back at the community by becoming a music teacher at the local High School. Other hobies of hers include painting and playing video games. She in fact has a very popular Gaming Channel, “Shimmercode” where she mostly live streams and, most recently, has begun playing with fellow friend Fluttershy. Mostly because people like the contrast between calm and jolly Fluttershy and hotheaded Sunset (www.deviantart.com/heir-of-ric…)

Sunset normally prefers to stay away from World Ending threats, but she aids her Ponyville friends whenever the going gets especially tough. While she isn´t as diverse a magic user as Twilight or Starlight, or as strong a fighter as AJ or Rainbow Dash, she combines her skill at Pyrokynesis and her already present athleticism to become one of the fiercest fighters in the land.

Rumors that she is dating (Or maybe even engaged to) a member of the royal guard are prevalent, but unconfirmed. So are the rumors of her being mysterious street artist “Flanksy”, but these are getting an increassing amount of tongue in cheek confirmations by her.
