Sister of Princess Cadence, Frostwing was originally known as Nixia. Frostwing chose to deviate from the family of nobility she was born into, and while her sister became known for her magic, Frostwing became known for her flying. She eventually joined the Wonderbolts, choosing to bear the burden of maintaining Equestria’s central jet stream. Her cutie mark became a snowflake when she became lost in a winter storm.
