She is a night witch, who lives out in he forest. Although Night Witches can go out in the day, they prefer staying inside for the day, and venture out into the world at night, as that makes them more powerful. Her body also starts to glow too when she is using magic.
The staff of hers is a staff that also helps with her magic, that has also been in her family for generations.
She knows a lot of different spells and potions, with her magic being mostly being based of the night, and her potions being made form things from the forest. Nightlight is often a pretty anti-social pony, who prefers to do things by herself, and is awkward around others and has trouble opening up about herself. However, she wants to be more open, and make some friends.
