Fish food part 3

Commissioned Noblebrony to draw.

Uploaded with permission.

(Knight to pawn) Spitfire moved the fish skull which she had been using as the knight over to the small bit of spine and removing it from play. At this point, it has been a little over a month since Spitfire was confined to her fleshy prison deep inside Tidal Reef. Still, she found it hard to sleep at times. If she was still outside she would have just made some tea, watched some tv, and let herself slowly drift off to sleep, but now, within the constantly changing and moving environment that was the giant orca’s belly, sleep became a precious commodity.

(Rook to knight) Spitfire rested against the stomach wall, her form sinking into it as she stared at her makeshift chessboard, made from distorting the driftwood with acid. Chess, or more accurately one player chess puzzles, was one of Spitfire’s only forms of entertainment. Every morning she would get five new layouts from the “Equestria Daily” news broadcast, normally she would have the time to do all five while listening to the audio broadcasts of the shows she used to watch on her tv, but today she only had time to do three on account of SOMEPONY having an early breakfast. It was times like that she was glad she tied down her radio when she did, lest it be lost to the acid.

(Pawn to rook) The foul smell of Tidal’s stomach and long since subsided, and the beating heart and rush of air exiting the lungs and become part of what Spitfires mind defined as silence. Yet, there was just something that kept her from achieving sleep on nights like this. Perhaps it was the heat or the water, or maybe she was just still adjusting to her new “home”. The reason didn’t matter all that much really, not as much as sleeping did.

(Pawn to pawn) At times she wondered how much longer she would be trapt in the orca, yet even if she didn’t want to, she knew the answer. This stomach was her world now and likely would remain so. she had already tried everything she could to get out, but the odds had been stacked against her from the start, her host hand no idea she was in here, her wings were to wet to fly, and there was no room even if she could. For right now, she could only hope for sleep to come.

(Pawn to rook)

Under the moon, on the stare lit ocean, Tidal Reef slept on the water. For the giant orca, it had been a long day. She had woken up earlier than usual, which she wasn’t too happy about, but quickly set aside her complaints upon finding one of the largest schools of fish she had ever seen witch quickly vanished into the dark abyss of her gullet. The rest of her day was like any other for her as she swam, ate, and explored the beauty of her underwater paradise. At the end of her day as she drifted to sleep her only thought was of how grate this life was.

hope you enjoy.
