Personality:

She really puts the “fire” in “firefly,” lighting up every room she walks into with her radiant and sultry personality. She can be elegant one moment and loudmouthed and vulgar the next. Her humor is crass and childish but inappropriate in the most fun way, and she doesn’t care what others think of it. While she can be quite insensitive at times and not take things as seriously as she should, Firefly can be a good leader and caring friend when she wants to be, putting aside her immature ways for the good of others.

Relationships:

As a Princess of Equestria, Firefly’s sense of humor is not socially acceptable and Luna makes that very clear. Firefly would call her boring and strict, but Luna would consider herself sensible in reigning her daughter in. The two are often at odds over this, but deep down they love each other and long to spend more time together. Chrysalis is the much more lenient parent and she and Firefly seem like two bugs in a cocoon, but she will later find there’s a lot she doesn’t know about her mother.

While she’s as different as can be from her sullen and grumpy brother, Firefly does get along with Phil. She purposefully annoys him with her antics but only out of good fun. While she doesn’t understand why he’s such a downer, she likes to think they are close. But eventually Firefly will come to realize that she and Phil aren’t as close as she thinks.

Firefly has dated many ponies and broken many hearts, including that of Radiant Jewel. Never one to take things seriously, Firefly treated her relationship with Jewel as another fling, while Jewel expected a serious commitment. It was just one example of Firefly’s failure to communicate and be sensitive to others. She’ll learn going forward, but it won’t repair the damage already done.

Not all of Firefly’s past relationships have ended in broken hearts, however. Bedlam was and still remains a close friend of hers. Though they’re no longer “involved” with each other, they still get together often and bond over their shared sense of humor and disregard for all that is socially acceptable, especially through pranking sprees.

Currently, Firefly has her eyes on a certain royal guard. Galaxy Guard is everything she’s not: hardworking, disciplined, and goal-oriented. Something about Galaxy’s driven nature attracts Firefly, plus it helps that she can get the soldier flustered and lovestruck with her charms. While Firefly does have a thing for tough mares, will Galaxy really be good for her…?
