Relatives: Queens Chrysalis (mother/deceased) and Incisor (father/deceased).

Species: Western Continental Changeling

Nicknames: Cady (by Diamond Song and Selena only)

Special talent: None

Likes: Politics, traveling, messy/sticky/or sour foods, flying, being with her best friends, and meeting her subjects.

Dislikes: Having to disguise herself, sweet/sugary food, snow, discrimination (especially against changelings), and being left out due to her age.

Relations: Chrysalis was not a good mother. She tried to teach Cicada to hate all of pony kind in the hopes that one day her heir would conquer Equestria. Cicada didn’t like being cruel to ponies and stealing love through deceit. She refused her training in torture. Chrysalis retaliated by beating Cicada and locking her away until she either changed her mind or died. Chrysalis eventually grew weak and ill from malnutrition and died, leaving Cicada to rule over the Hive. Cicada’s father died before she was born.

Her best friends are Prince Diamond Song and Princess Selena.

The closest thing to a caring maternal role model Cicada has ever had is Princess Cadence. Cicada was originally terrified of both Cadence and Diamond Song, seeing as her mother tried to kill cadence and sabotage her wedding years ago. She was expecting cadence to hate her. In truth it did take a bit of time for Cadence to warm up to her but eventually she took Cicada under her wing and showed her friendly affection.
