“Shhh! Really, that’s so inconsiderate!” Discord remarks. “How am I going to learn if it’s so noisy in here?” With a snap of his claws, Discord causes Gallus’ beak to magically disappear from his face. “That’s better,” he says before gesturing for Trixie to continue. Gallus, eyes wide open, begins to desperately claw his now-beakless face for a good few seconds, before finally spotting his beak resting on Discord’s paw. Planting his talons firmly on the ground, Gallus turns to Discord, glaring at him.

“Cut it out, Discord,” Gallus’ beak utters, clearly still able to speak even while not being on his face. Discord takes a few momentary peeks at the griffon’s beakless, unamused face, and turns aside grinning cheekily to himself. The beak, however, continues to move. “Your phone’s the one making noises over here, not me.”

“Well, now you are too,“ Discord turns to look at the talking beak and retorts, bringing it closer to his face before poking it gently. Chuckling as he pets it a few times, the draconequus continues, “Snarky and cute little beak you’ve got there. And just so you know, this beak is going to be mine till it gets quiet here again.” He then clasps the beak in his hands and brings it to his chest before hugging it tightly, leaving nothing but muffled sounds struggling to escape the beak. An almost-disgruntled Gallus also stares at him, spreading his wings a little, as if ready to pounce on him at any moment.

“Discord, this isn’t how you treat your classmates,” Trixie looks at Discord sternly. “Why not? You’re the one who yanked Pinkie’s mouth off too. Surely you’d enjoy this as well, right?” Just as Discord started laughing loudly in irony, a magic beam zaps across the room, leaving Discord’s muzzle in Trixie’s hooves. A deafening silence pervades the lecture hall.

“Anything to say now, Discord?” The mouthless draconequus, a little dazed, looks at Trixie briefly before shaking his head innocently. He pets and strokes the beak a few times more, before throwing it back in Gallus’ general direction. Catching it, Gallus glares at Discord again with the words “Thanks, Discord” coming out of his beak sarcastically. He then turns aside, proceeding to adjust his beak back on his face tightly. Finally, Discord walks over to Trixie to retrieve his muzzle, and leaves the lecture hall in shame, muzzle still in claw.
