To those of you who haven’t been reading my status updates, surprise! Fluttershy and Pinkie get to be Draconequui! Accordingly, I’m changing the name of this project from The Alicorn AU to The Ascension AU.

Fluttershy, alone and without any means to call for help, accomplished the impossible. She tamed an Everfree forest run wild. Soaked in malevolent magic, the very earth of the deep woods had turned against any who dared to enter. And worst of all, the ancient, twisted landscape developed a consciousness. A primitive mind that sought to expand, and to devour all it touched.

Fluttershy showed it kindness.

She would have ascended and become an alicorn like the others, but something went… wrong. Maybe the wild influence of the forest twisted her magic when she interacted with it. But it is more likely that long, repeated exposure to Discord’s chaos magic had left its mark. Whatever the cause, she became something else, something other.

Fluttershy is the spirit of nature. She guards and nurtures the creatures of the world, and plantlife flourishes under her care. But nature can be cruel sometimes, and the gentle soul has developed a wild streak that she struggles to control.

Ho boy. She turned out… colorful, didn’t she? And that silhouette is kinda confusing and hard to read. I really wish I had stretched her out a bit more, just so the limbs and butt-wings aren’t in such a tangle visually. Definitely something to remember for Pinkie.

For those who are curious, She has the forelimbs of a songbird, the hindlimbs of a jackrabbit, the wings of her Flutterbat form and, obviously, a butterfly, and the tail of a dragon. I also made her hair willow leaves because I hate myself and always make things harder than they have to be.
