She was designed by as an adoptable back in 2014 and was adopted by . After being drawn a few times, she slowly became adored by many in this fandom, most notably , the head of Equestria Daily who has declared her “top bat”, and to be honest, I totally agree! :love:

Velvet’s a total cutie with some real sass and she’s got a great design! Although she wasn’t designed by her owner, Dreamy did design her cutie mark which I actually went ahead and made my own vector of this time around and damn did it take forever to do! I’m very pleased with the results on this one though and I think this is my favorite pic of her as a pony I’ve drawn so far. She’s also fun to draw as a sexy human too! :iconinloveplz:

One unfortunate thing about this OC is she’s hard to search for on Deviant Art since her name seems to be commonly used for other pieces. I usually just search “Sweet Velvet Batpony” but it only gives me 2 pages of results. I would be sure to check Dreamy’s gallery and favorites for art of her and be sure to follow her too, she’s got some great stuff! :D
