And so the conversations continued, however recently his letters have become more vague… More disconcerting. He talked about how the people of the town were acting strange. How he spends more and more of his time in his room above the general store. How the workers who stayed at the dormitory were unpleasant fools, and how the mayor was an idiot. Finally ending with Antione telling her not to visit the city under any circumstances. After that the letters had stopped, and news of the fog that enveloped the city rolled in.
Despite his warnings, Mulberry couldn’t well let him handle whatever is going on by himself. She had to be there for him.
“…You sure ma’am? I really would suggest against this.” The coachpony says apprehensively.
Mulberry nods, and then checks her bags really quick before proceeding. All her possessions are there. A change of clothes, her makeup kit, about forty bits of spending money, and her most precious possession, a bundle of their letters tied together with string and wrapped in a waxed paper.
She then looks at the fog, and sighs with a frown.
