Description:
Page 94 – Delayed DawnWhen the players do something particularly impressive, that tends to be reflected in the NPCs reactions. In the first campaign I DM’d, a lot of my NPCs spent their time slack-jawed at the players’ accomplishments in battle.
Any stories about rendering non-player characters (or just DMs) speechless?

DM: Let me just… skip ahead in my notes… Alright.</ahem><ahem> Through the cracked windows you can see the light of the sun finally peeking over the horizon. There is a bright flash of sunlight. When it fades, Princess Celestia stands in the old throne room. She stands as tall as Nightmare Moon did, her mane shining like an aurora and a sun-shaped cutie mark on her flank. You all feel compelled to bow in her presence.<br/>
Rainbow Dash: Sure we do. Whatever you say, buddy.<br/>
Twilight Sparkle: Wow. Nice to… finally meet you?<br/>
Princess Celestia: Twilight Sparkle. My most faithful student. I… must admit, when Nightmare Moon came for me, I expected to be imprisoned for weeks or months… perhaps even years.<br/>
Applejack: Heh. How’d that go?<br/>
Princess Celestia: I most CERTAINLY didn’t expect to be freed in a matter of hours! You mastered the power of friendship faster than anypony could have anticipated. I am very proud of you, Twilight Sparkle.<br/>
Pinkie Pie: And us? What about the rest of us?<br/>
Rarity: I smell a royal reward…!
