Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Nabooru Gerudo custom pony
This is a second version of this design that I made about 7-8 years ago as a commission. This one is going to its forever home in Spain.
Pony base is a generation 1 Sweet Heart Sister pose coated in white gesso to give the acrylic paint work a texture to bond to. Full body repaint done in a hand blend of acrylics I made for the first Nabooru pony I made 7-8 years ago, but I kept it in a jar all these years so it was still usable! Eyes and lipstick are hand painted in my style. All paint work is sealed in Artists Varnish.
Mane and tail are rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors firebird and pomme dā ammor. Her pants and gloves are carefully hand stitched from a pale pink satin fabric. Blue and bright pink details are carefully pieces together with individual pieces of cut ribbons. Her shoes are thick red leather with natural colored leather soles, red ribbon hems the soles and silver rhinestones detail. Gold ribbon trim added to bottoms of pants, tops of gloves, around the neck and around her large red gem atop her head.
Sash belt is a strip of plastic silver balls with gold drop pendants individually fastened. Her top is stitched in the same techniques as her pants with the same ribbon detail, various rhinestones embellish her outfit. She has earrings made from gold glass pendants and floral wire. The large gem atop her head is plastic, with a few beads attached to it. Her forehead piece is a plastic ring bead with plastic triangles glued to it, entire piece painted in navy blue and silver acrylics, a bright orange bead added to the middle.
I may have to make another replica of this some time just to put up for sale!
