Aurora Breeze winced as her sister let out yet another headache inducing squeal.  She got that her sister was excited, but this seemed excessive.  What was so great about the prospect of meeting this Diamond Charm fellow anyway?  Then again, Aurora never did understand any of Rainbow Rose’s celebrity worship in the first place.  “Sis,” Aurora started with a groan, “I’m going to go deaf if you keep squealing like that.”

“I can’t help it!” Rainbow Rose shrieked giddily.  “I’m going to get to meet Rarity and Diamond Charm in the same day!  My favorite fashion designer and my favorite actor!  Both of them!  In the same day!”

Aurora rolled her eyes.  “As you’ve told me for the thousandth time today,” she replied gloomily.

“Can’t you just be happy for me?”

“I am happy for you.  I just don’t think I’m going to make it through this carriage ride at this rate.”

_“Oh, don’t be dramatic,” Rose huffed.  “Besides, you should be just as excited as I am!  You’re going to finally get to see your

friend, Radiant Sigil, again!  It’s been forever since you’ve last seen each other.”_

“That’s true,” Aurora replied.  To be honest, Aurora was a little worried about that.  Ray had always been shy.  Exchanging letters from time to time had been successful but actually seeing her might be a bit different.  Still, at the end of the day they were friends.  It should be fine, right?

Blurb Summary:

Aurora Breeze and her twin sister, Rainbow Rose, are travelling to the reunion by carriage.  However, Aurora is finding the journey taxing since her sister won’t stop fangirling over the prospect of meeting Rarity and her son, Diamond Charm.  Rose points out that Aurora should be excited too since she’ll finally get to see her childhood friend, Radiant Sigil, again.  Aurora does want to see Ray, but she’s a little nervous about their upcoming reunion.

Side Notes:

I didn’t address it in the story (and I don’t know if I’ll get around to explaining it elsewhere), but Rainbow Dash isn’t riding in the carriage with her daughters.  She chose to fly to the reunion as a personal challenge.  Also, you may notice the absence of her third kid, Flourishing Dream.  Unlike Ray, he managed to successfully talk his way out of going.  (Basically, he’s not part of the first few episodes and will be appearing later in the story.  Sorry if you were eagerly awaiting his entrance.)
