After years of running the School of Friendship, princess duties finally caught up to Twilight, leading her to have to either close the school or hand over ownership. Hesitantly, Twilight decided to let Starlight Glimmer take over. It wasn’t because she had a lack of trust, but that she’d miss teaching. Though, every now and then, Twilight does come in and take over lessons when she’s free of time.

Twilight watched as her friends found love and created families, still having neither of her own. Sure she had spike, but she needed a partner to stick by her side who she can have children with. She could have used a love spell on any stallion, but she wanted her love to come naturally. And that’s exactly what happened.

After the events of the first visit to the human world, Twilight only found it necessary to keep in contact with the Flash Sentry from her world. There was something there, so she thought. The pair kept in contact for years, and only when Twilight gave up the School of Friendship was when Flash found the courage to ask his princess friend if she’d become his marefriend. During their relationship, Flash confessed to have snuck through the portal to the human world while Twilight was there. It wasn’t big news, Twilight suspected it from the first time they met in the pony world.

Two years into the relationship, Twilight discovered that she was pregnant. She was over the moon, equally was Flash, the pregnancy leading him to pop the proposal. Of course, Twilight said yes. Once married, things started deteriorating. Twilight gave birth to twins Spear Shine and Aries. A couple of years later, Twilight gave birth to her third and final child, Artemis Wonder. After Artie was born, rumors began to spread that Flash Sentry was off in Canterlot sleeping with another mare. The news wasn’t taken well, but Twi held her head high and refused to believe it. She was sure her husband was faithful. He had been for years, she hoped.

Although she was sure Flash wasn’t a cheat, she had to be certain. She took a trip to Canterlot, saying she’d be in Appleloosa on princess duties. She walked around in the disguise of a lavender pegasus and remained in Canterlot for hours. Just when she was about to prove the rumors wrong, there he was. Flash Sentry, her devoted husband and the father of her three children, was stood outside one of the cafes KISSING another mare. Not only was it a mare, but Twilight knew this mare. It was one of her oldest and dearest friends, Moondancer. Twilight was outraged, she had no nice words to speak. Everyone was right. She was wrong.

Twilight approached the two and revealed who she was. Obviously, the fact that she was an alicorn princess was enough to draw attention. She screamed at them, announcing their divorce on the spot, in front of the posh ponies of Canterlot. Moondancer knew that Flash was married, yet she still kept their relationship up. After the divorce, Flash didn’t hesitate to leave Moondancer. He couldn’t believe how stupid he had been. He begged for Twilight to let him back in, but she was done. Spear and Aries loved their father, though, and would visit him as soon as they could. They forgave their father, unlike Artie or Twilight. Flash is currently married to Lightning Dust, of whom he has a child with.

Aside from her failed love life, Twilight remains a great princess and mother. She was responsible for handing down the elements of harmony to more reliable, younger keepers. Though the elements are still parts of her and her friends, the new holders are the ones to use them as well as protect Equestria.

Information:

Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry are divorced. Any chance he gets, Artemis will fire an evil glare at Flash. He’s always been a mama’s boy.

Flash doesn’t work anymore, he was fired after it was found out that he had an affair with Moondancer. He’s still allowed around his children, but Twilight and Artemis hate when he’s around.

Spear Shine trains with Flash, and wants to be part of the Crystal Guard like her father once was. Aries wants to be part of the guard as well, but because she’s a unicorn and her dad’s a pegasus Flash wasn’t able to train her with anything other than ground combat.

Artemis stays in the castle most of the time, studying, practicing spells, or helping out his mother. He doesn’t get on very well with his sisters. He considers Uncle Spike his best friend.

Spear Shine and Aries have a relatively okay relationship with their mother, but much rather be around their dad.

Both sisters adore their dad’s girlfriend Lighting Dust, and equally enjoy the company of their half brother Stingray.
