HAPPY BIRTHDAY :iconask-wiggles:!!!

This piece was commissioned by :iconssjcharon: for Wiggles’ birthday, which is today! It was envisioned as a parody of the poster of “Aqua Teen Hunger Force: The Movie”, which in itself was a straight up spoof of Boris Vallejo’s posters made during the 80’s (painted by Boris Vallejo himself!). So I got tasked with drawing a spoof of a spoof that was drawn by the original artist the spoof was meant to be spoofing. And if you manage to get through that Inception of a concept you could imagine how thrilled I was with the idea. The restrain I had to put into effect to not share any of the previews on social media was such that I can’t believe it myself.

And I won’t lie, I’m fairly happy with how it turned out. My favourite part of the piece is Luna, and her alicorn motorbike. I mean, come on. This one was fun, it was funny, and it wasn’t without its moments of stress and frustration, but this was a very satisfying experience in the end. Will totally draw it again.
