Story by the commissionner:

“Hmm this is a new book, I don’t think I’ve seen this one before” Twilight said picking up the odd book on her table.

Flipping it open, she reads a few pages.

“Seems like a book on how to be a clown. Don’t know why I would have this, doesn’t seem very useful” She said as she flipped to chapter 2, entitled ‘Getting Into Character”. “Wait, why is this part blank?” she said as she flipped through several blank pages, unaware of a small tingling in her arm.

“This is strange,” Twilight said as she looked down at her hand, encased in some odd liquid rubber that seemed to stick to her hand and was beginning to travel down her arm.

“Agh, what is this stuff?” Twilight began to pull at the weird substance but to no avail, as it spread the material more and more rather than remove it. Soon it had covered most of her body in a pink and black pattern and was working up her neck.

“Need to get this off” Twilight struggled. Nah you just need to relax and smile some more a voice eerily similar to her own said.

“Oh great hypnotic effect,” Twilight said. “Must resist them”

Oooo aren’t you a clever one? But you know what they say about smart ponies, they’re the ones that could just some rest the most

“Yeah I could use a NO I need to resist, I need to-”

Smile some more. Just let go and relax Twilight. You deserve to be happy

“Yeah I guess I do,” Twilight said as hypnotic patterns filled her eyes and her face began to be coated chalk white by the suit.

Yes you do. You want to be happy and silly and fun. Pinkie Pie is just like this and look how much fun she has. Just let it happen Twilight.

“Happy and fun sound nice,” Twilight said, her mind slipping more and more.

Just to slip away and be a happy fun silly clown, that’s all you want to be. Clowns are fun they make ponies smile and you like to make ponies smile. After all you’re a clown, it’s your job. But it’s a job you love, to be so free and bouncy and gleeful is just so wonderful, you can’t imagine any other way of life. In fact as far as you can recall there has been no other way of life. Being a clown is what you were made for and your life’s work, that of being a fun and wacky character

“Happy fun bouncy clown,” was all Twilight could repeat as the message drilled deep into her brain and as her face became fully white and a rubber hood formed around her head. Lastly bells began to appear around the hypnotized clown’s neck and head, signalling her transformation as complete.

The book, long forgot until now, began to glow and buzz. The clown picked it up and read the previously blank page. Congratulations on your new lifestyle. Please write down your new clown name and continue reading! the page said.

Thinking it over for a moment, the clown struck on an idea. “I know, Joke Book!” she said as she jotted the new name down. Even before the ink dried, the name seemingly burned it’s way into the clown’s mind. She was Joke Book, the fun loving reading clown! She had always been that, why would she be anyone else?

Flipping through the book, she read the now filled pages with vigor and glee. “Wow this book is amazing and so useful! It tells me all the wonderful ways to be a clown. I can’t wait to show this to my friends!”

Nothing like a good book, right?
