For those who don’t know, the American incarnation of King Ghidorah is covered in scales that contain traces of gold. This, coupled with his bio-electric nature, allows him to destabilize the atmosphere and create massive storm systems which dwarf a Category 5 hurricane. The Storm King, on the other hand, needs the power of all four Alicorn princesses in order to utilize the Staff of Sacanas otherwise, he’s just in the possession of a fancy looking stick with a gem on its end. Ghidorah, on the other hand, can create storms which make the one Stormy made at the end of the 2017 MLP movie look like a run-of-the-mill thundershower just by existing.

So, yeah, Stormy, you’ve been dethroned.
