A fanart I did based on a scene from S08E08. xD
What’s the idea behind this fanart!? SPOILER <sub>of my headcanon</sub>:
I thought Starlight as a rebel since ever! Her room is like this because her dad does support his little “cutesy-wutesy sugarplum” on everything, even though Firelight is her dad and responsible for her, he isn’t the boss in there… Except… When… She exceeds the limit and does something terrible, then her father has to take some serious action about it.
Sunburst on the other <del>hand</del> hoof is different: I believe Stellar Flare would bring him to visit her SAD, boring, TOTTALLY not cool, crazy friends of her who has fascination for essences, shopping, and cats. And to convince his mom into something (like getting into HIS friend’s house) is very hard.
They would know each other since they are frequenting the same spaces and living on the same Sire’s Hollow. Starlight and Sunburst’s friendship would then grow with time as their parents would continue to meet each other for business and other occurrences. (Observe as in the episode they weren’t so surprised to meet each other’s parents, they already know very well how they are)
Finally, this would be his first meeting at her house, when Sunburst discover’s how cool and crazy she is, they became best friends for a moment, but a couple days or weeks after Sunburst finds out his cutie mark and his mom DESPERATELY would send him into magic school in Canterlot, when they never met again until adulthood. (The Cutie Re-Mark part 2 — S05E26)
Then Starlight would be really sad and question reality, depression and stuff, until she decides to do magic spells to bring Sunburst back, discover her own cutie mark by trying it, and doing evil plans to control everything (not just her dad) and the rest you all know…
