Welcome to another day of Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Grounds, my friends! Today’s prompt is Draw a pony star gazing / Draw a pony being eclipsed. This is in response to a solar eclipse I guess happened earlier today, which in Equestria occurs when the schedules for raising the sun and raising the moon accidentally overlap with each other. Luna seems to be taking advantage of this by eclipsing Celestia, forcing her to gaze at her starry mane while she laughs maniacally (as a joke, of course).

I always get nervous when drawing alicorns just because their proportions are so ridiculous, but I think the sisters turned out pretty good here! It was nice to try them out, complete with their regalia, elegant wings and cosmic manes. I probably won’t make a habit of drawing them since they are very complicated, but their designs are pretty cool.
