History: His eyes have to constantly be covered this was decreed by his father. He is never allowed to take them off, and if they do fall his eyes must immediately be covered. The lenses aren’t red because of the tint, but because of the red eyes that glow underneath. The darker the tint gets the more power he gains, but his source of “energy” is unknown. One would assume his powers are based off anger, due to time when he’s under stress they glow brighter

Back-story:

Merced was the second born in Sombra’s family and generally had to work his way into making attention. He had no real means of getting power as much as he did crave it when he was a child and up to now. Being second to his sister, Merced left the Crystal empire for a while to figure out if he can use magic or anything to make himself more noticeable to his father, though it was hard to not notice somepony with the ability to manipulate weather patterns. He figured the best way to eliminate his sister isn’t to beat her, but to drain her until he looks to be stronger. Only there were very noticeable changes when he returned as his fur that was originally blue was now purple, his hair that was black was now stained with hues of green and his eyes were a blood shot red that glowed uncontrollably. His wings came from angelic wings to demonic and corrupt wings. So much changed that he had to wear glasses and a cape over his body to hide his eyes and wings, but nothing could mask the effects on his fur. Sombra found out what he did and cursed him for leaving by making all of his power that he learned trigger by his power to see. Sombra made it so that if Merced were to remove his glasses his power would be activated no matter how much he wanted to hold it back. With this in mind he then read the way to reverse this curse that was on him, and that was to be close to the sun and release all of the energy. The only problem was Celestia controlled the Sun, meaning he would have to cross on enemy lines and surrender in order to save himself, a task he would never fathom to complete.

Other Information:

His original plan for achieving the aid of the sun is to go through the moon, Luna. However after a while, his goal of obtaining the sun, was now to obtaining Luna as his princess and remove Llora out of power that way, because if one of the children marries before the other they would be the next successor to the throne, leaving the other to have to leave to another estate to marry under that name. His love for Luna grew stronger over time and eventually it wasn’t a matter of understanding his power, but understanding Luna instead. As time progressed, however, his powers became so suppressed that there was build up causing his power to become radial, meaning his power was now exiting his body through his pores rather than his eyes. Now he’s separated between breaking Luna’s heart to tell her none of this were to happen, or make the one he loves too weak and unstable around him.

-Can power up abilities of others so that they can reach high level mastery and control instantaneously. High level users can weaken the powers in others. Users cannot steal or give power just enhance the use of power targets already have. Some users may operate from a distance others may require a touch or close proximity.
