Day 144, Research Project: Blue Tide [ACTIVE]

“I will admit, I wasn’t expecting this outfit to be offered by Miss Dawndistance during our training. She said it was inspired by a far Eastern design from before Equestria was formed. I found it quite revealing and also quite painful to wear, as it required piercings, but once that was done, well.

I found she was quite right when it came to combat prowess in my training. This blade, for one, curved and stretched outward to allow a swifter contact during a swing compared to a shortsword. The skirt is merely for looks, but the piercings are also enchanted with a telekinetic support for my chest, much like wearing a bra. It helps a lot when I’m running and blocking that I don’t feel my breasts bouncing everywhere and getting in the way.

The cowl is also for looks, though the silk is quite nice against my ears. I suppose the bracers and upper armlets are as well, but the horn ring appears to be special. A mana booster of sorts, like a corkscrew coil ring you’d see on mages in early Equestrian times. A counter-spiral of mana that would merge with a spell at the tip of a unicorn’s horn, boosting its throughput by balancing out the ‘spin’ of mana. I certainly don’t have to focus as much on it, making spells easier to cast.

The snake head did get charred during our battle, though. Speak of the East as highly as you like, putting a snake figure head in front of a mana bolt will always cause trouble.”
