I ended up redesigning Rarity’s race and I think I like it a whole lot more now. Now I just need a name for the species. :/

Buuuut yeh, here’s our two leading ladies together! Quick summary about the both of them:

Twilight Sparkle, 26. Linguist, archaeologist, and xenopologist, Twilight is incredibly intelligent (incredibly tall!) and a very accomplished mare in her field. Known best for those huge glasses and a determination just as big, Twilight never backs down from a challenge in the art of learning: if you do enough looking, then the answers will turn up. Twilight is sweet, quietly charismatic, and eager to share her knowledge with the world. Despite how accomplished she is, Twi sometimes is a butt of the joke for her continued belief that this “Lost Planet” still exists out there, so much so that she was simply brushed off when proposing another expedition to find it when she produced one of the most solid pieces of evidence in recent time: a beacon. Fortunately (and unfortunately) for her, she has garnered attention some interested parties…

Rarity, 102. Politician first and foremost, but also spends her time in fashion and the combative arts of her race (what? It’s good for the skin darling!). Rarity is every bit the royal her people expect her to be: poised, practiced, graceful, and intelligent, she has a fire in her that makes people believe in just about anything she believes in. Exactly the leading lady needed for current problem of her kind… the debate on whether or not to retreat from isolation. For a doe (what they call females in their race) her age she’s made great traction and persuading other members to side with her on the decision, but even then she still can’t quite beat out the majority council vote. Soon enough, however, she will gain the leverage she needs when a ship unexpectedly crashes onto their planet.

Aaaand there ya go! I’ll probably make a separate post with brief summaries about the main alien races in this AU, but first things first… I need names for them! If you have any suggestions for the alien species names as well as their home planets please feel free to share them. C:
