Decided to post the species’ summaries like this, starting with Shy’s species, the Vaui!

The Vaiu is a warm-blooded omnivorous aquatic species that hails from a planet made mostly of water. Manta Ray-like in appearance, these aliens are typically very tall and lean with broad shoulders and wide, nearly protruding hips. They sport wing-like appendages that better helps them with swift swimming instead of actual flight, they have long prehensile tails that has a retractable barb on the end, and any gender sports horns atop their heads. The is very little sexual dimorphism among the race: the only differences among genders is males tend to get longer horns and broader shoulders while females have wider hips and are generally taller. They generally don’t have any form of hair anywhere aside from their heads. Though primarily an aquatic species, this alien has fully adapted to living outside of water, sporting both gills and lungs. Despite this adaption however, the Vaiu have sensistive skin and must often wear clothing or armor that moisterizes their skin often or retains their skin’s moister. Wet, humid climates are where they’re the most at home.

The Vaiu are highly intelligent creatures that value empathy and diplomacy over confict to solve issues. Generally a peaceful race, they’re best known for their work as excellent medics, diplomats, and engineers, with their artists being some of the most revered in the galaxy. It’s also because of this pacifist attitude and thin appearance that the Vaiu are often stereotyped to be weak and cowardly. Despite their preference to diplomacy over conflict they are no slouch in combat: they are swift on land, swifter in water, and due to their overall lack of notable physical strength they sport some of the best sharpshooters. They make for excellent pilots as well with their precise, vivid memories, excellent eyesight, and natural sense of direction. Their biggest strength lie in their genetic and medical sciences, they are among the best doctors in the galaxy.
