Description:
EDITED AND UPDATED
Okay, initially after finishing this piece earlier today, I had a strong sense of whimsy that allowed me to have fun with it. But seriously, backgrounds and ornaments are my weakness when it comes to art, and so I came to hating how it looked within an hour of uploading it.
I made some pretty obvious changes to this work that I feel speaks strongly about how I really wanted this to look. It’s not just Sonata in a room, but it’s just Sonata in a room—wth you.
The color use was meant to emphasize the containment and futility of the situation.
I haven’t spilled my guts with regards to my pieces in a long time but choosing Sonata, and drawing her in a vulnerable and exposed pose was not random not fueled by any sense of twisted libido—- I wanted to make something that felt direct. If that makes any sense.
I want you guys to forget what I was thinking earlier, and the funny hahaha cutesy patootsy laughs I was pulling but stuffing Sonata in a badly lit room with oddly colored pillows and blankets. I request, to look at it now. As it is.
The longing in her eyes as she realizes that this room is too small for just to of you, and yet it’s perfect for the both of you alone. How you stand there at the edge of the bed, and she, seated at the other end, just waiting for you to come close.
That’s what I wanted to deliver.
Trainbang here! Hope you enjoy it!
