How incredibly droll. This era was proving to be just as boring as the ones before it. Day in and day out. The same…disturbingly pink walls. The same hormone driven stallions. Good spirits of Tarturus…why?

The small blue Pegasus places the coffee orders at her table, given no more than an unnerving stare as they thanks her. Turning to walk away, she smirked at the reaction they gave, shrinking away from her gaze. It was the only form of amusement she could seem to get from this stupid job anymore.

???: Remember to smile, Miss Pandie~ a soft, bubbly voice from the kitchen area. A blue haired unicorn cheerfully smiled as she prepared an order for another customer

Pandie: I would, Bubble… but if I do, the universe might implode…

Bubble: snorts a little Oh I’m sure it wouldn’t be that bad… looks the small death horse over Though I hear that Yandere style is all the rage nowaday…

Pandie: That would require me to actually be a homicidal lovesick maniac. I probably could pull it off. Heh…*grins slightly*

Bubble: cringes a little Eck.. Umm.. hehe.. Heh.. if you really aren’t that happy here, why not find a new job?

Pandie stopped what she was doing and turns to look at the unicorn. Her flat gaze seemed to not just stare at her but right through her…if that was even possible.

Pandie: Oh I would…but the process is always the biggest hassle…

Bubble: scratches her cheek Yeah, I know how that is.. I’m not looking forward to finding a job once I graduate college…

Bubble’s ears droop thinking about it… until, like a light bulb going off, her ears perked up. Silently she’d go over to break room area to where the employers were allowed to keep personal item while they worked. Shortly, Bubble would return with a newspaper in hand.

Bubble: places a sympathetic hand on Pandie’s shoulder I think you are wasting your… talents here, Miss Pandie. Maybe starting over and getting a change of scenery is what you need to turn that frown.. Upside down~

Pandie: Did…you actually just…you’re worse than my brother.. runs a hand through her bangs A change of pace would be nice though. Life…has become quite boring.

Bubble: tail wags I hear you there. Tell me, how do you feel about a more.. Uh.. tropical destination? with a big grin

Pandie’s brow furrowed before she raise one quizzically. Oh boy…here we go.

Pandie: I…guess that’s fine…Why?

Bubble: Weeeeeeell.. opens up the newspaper and starts flipping through it Back in my hometown, I have this friend who just recently inherited a cafe and put in an ad in paper. He’s looking for experienced baristas aaaaaand I think you are just the pony for the job!

Once reaching the classified section, Bubble handed the newspaper over Pandie so she can look over the ad. Pandie took the paper from her, reading over the help wanted ad silently at first.

Pandie: Capricorn Reef…? That island off the coast of the desert on the southwestern border?

Bubble: nods Yep! It’s a super island, a big touristy location! Have you ever been there?

Pandie: My brother, Mako, lives there. I bother him from time to time.

Bubble: ears perked and wide eyes ………… Mako?.. uh.. He isn’t an orca pony by any chance…?

Pandie: He is…tall..blue and black hair…makes terrible coffee and jokes…

Bubble: giggles His coffee isn’t that bad, hehehe~

Pandie: You have had the ‘misfortune” to meet him? Hehehe…

Bubble: blushes I wouldn’t say misfortune but a happy accident~ We uh.. crashed into each other this last summer and started dating. He never told me he had a second sister! Are you related to Lady as well?

Pandie: I’m….adopted into the family. Oh wonderful, now he has more reason to gripe at me for not having a mate…oh well. There is one more thing…doesn’t inherit imply a death has occurred?

Bubble: ears fold back Ah.. yeah. The previous owners… recently passed away. But I’m sure Wally will do a great job running the cafe, he’s been working there for what is it… 7 years now?

Pandie looked down for a moment, contemplating. While It would be unfortunate to move away from Lady and her godchildren, Ponyville was becoming too humdrum and outright unappealing the longer she stayed. A new Change in scenery and pace would be nice. Perhaps this new cafe would provide what she needed to make her time in the planet a little more eventful.

Pandie: I see…well. I suppose I’ll have to stop by after my shift is over. Maybe this new cafe would have me wearing this frilly….monstrosity anymore.

Bubble: laughs Haha, oh no, this cafe is much more casual! The only uniform I’ve seen there was the standard apron. You can pretty much wear whatever while working there, hehehe. Well, you’ll see when you get there…… after your shift? Wait, you don’t mean tonight?

Pandie: Yes. I have my ways of getting from place to place quickly. Its quite…useful~. this grin looked a little sinister..

Bubble: sweats a little and awkwardly chuckles heheh… heh.. Oh, I.. see.

Pandie: Thank you. Perhaps this is just the change I needed.

After her shift ended, Pandie quickly changed out of her maid uniform and into her casual clothing. Much better. Giving short and curt goodbyes, she walked out of the maid cafe for, hopefully, the final time. Pandie walked down the street and turned a corner…but upon looking, the Pegasus was nowhere to be found.

Instead, she landed on the Island itself. It didn’t take her long to the find the mom and pop looking cafe. With no hesitation, she walked inside.

And so begins the saga of the the Death by Coffee (DbC) storyline. Pandie is really bored of what she is doing and decided a change in pace and scenery would do her some good. And thus…she makes her way to Capricorn Reef. OOOh What will happen in the cafe? Follow the Death by Coffee storyline and the other ships at Capricorn Reef
