Meet Honey Drop, Lily Pad’s mother. Nearly always drunk, she started out as an aspiring chef in her youth and was quite famous, with her own line of cook books, cutlery and pots and pans set. Unfortunately, there was a controversy where she lost her sponsors and money when she was found stealing from her charity for homeless foals, and she slowly began a descent into the angry, drunk mare she’s known as now. Originally growing up in Canterlot, she now lives on the edge of Ponyville with her four young foals in a dilapidated bungalow. She resents all of them, and their fathers as well. While not physically abusive, she is often emotionally abusive.

Out of all her foal’s fathers, Lily Pad’s is the only one she really loved. He left her after he could no longer stand her alcoholism and her pity parties. Had he known Honey was pregnant before he left, he would have waited and took his daughter with him. He is currently unaware of her existence. All the other fathers were either brief flings or in one case, a year long marriage that ended up in an ugly divorce. She’s been married a few times, and none of her husbands have been good. All were either drunk themselves, abusive or both. Even though she resents her children, she is not willing to put them into the foster system and actively tries to avoid Foal Protection Services. Mainly because she enjoys the government stipend for being a single mother.

Her other hobbies were once reading and teaching others to cook. She has since lost that passion. She does have a job, mostly because she needs money for booze. She never keeps a job long but she will work any job. Any. Her cutiemark, surprise is cooking related.
