Shadow: Twilight.. You came.

Twilight: Of course I did.. [*began talking slowly, walking up to him*] How could I not?

Shadow: I don’t know, I just figured you wouldn’t have wanted to see me.. After all this time.

Twilight: Shadow.. What happened to you? Where did you go?

Shadow: It’s hard to explain, but, that’s not what I want to talk about right now…

(Twilight felt her heart race a bit nervously, she never imagined she’d be in this situation, and now that it was actually happening, she wasn’t sure how to react to it but stare at him with wide eyes)

Shadow: I’ve heard stories from the ponies throughout Equestria on my journey back to find you.. I’ll cut right to the chase. [*sighs and takes a deep breath before continueing*] Your son, Crescendo… He’s mine, isn’t he?

Twilight: …. Yes, he is, Shadowlock. I am so sorry; I tried to tell you, but you never responded. We were looking for you for moons, but eventually -

Shadow: They assumed me dead, right? [*pinned his ears back*]

Twilight: Y-yes.. It took me a while to accept it.. I’ve, I’ve missed you, Shadow. A lot’s happened since you disappeared.

Shadow: I’ve heard. Taking into account you also have a daughter, I presume she isn’t mine, this time?

Twilight: N-no, Nova isn’t yours.. She’s Flash Sentry’s. Shadow, I’m-

Twilight: Crescendo.. [*sighs*] I need to talk to him about it first, and honestly I’m not looking foreward to it..

Shadow: .. He doesn’t know about me, does he?

Twilight: No.. To avoid the pain of losing his father, or to avoid the failed hope in your possible return, the Princesses and I decided to tell him his father was just another Royal Guard who abandoned us.. It made sense then, but now… I regret lying to him. But we never thought you’d-

Shadow: I know, it’s ok Twilight. [*puts his hoof on her shoulder*] I understand, this will take some time… I’m willing to wait. I’ve waited all these years just to see you again, I can wait just as long to meet the son I never knew I had. Take your time.. I’ll be here.

Twilight: You’re not leaving?

Shadow: I was, but seeing you again, and hearing about Crescendo, I.. I don’t want to leave. Not again. Not this time.. I’ll be here when you, your both, ready. Then I will tell you two everything.

Twilight: Alright… I’ll do my best.

(Shadowlock pulled her close into a tight hug, shocked by the sudden hug, Twilight began pulling away, but sighed and frowned, hugging him back with a sorrowful look in her eyes)

Shadow: I know you love somepony else now, Twilight.. But I’ll always love you. And I know I’ll love Crescendo.. I havn’t even met him, but I already know I do.. Because if he’s anything like you, it would be impossible not to.

Twilight: [*eyes tear up and breaks the hug*] Actually, you’ll be surprised to learn he’s more like you… I promise, I’ll do my best to get him to agree to meet you.

Shadow: [*holding back his own tears*] Thank you, Twiley.. I’ll be waiting.
