Much older and more reserved than similar Scot Dragoons, or ‘bagpipe dragons’ in casual terms, Hylund has seen a fair bit of the world in his time, and through all of that his peculiar body and powers have led him to be more often than not left as an outcast from the communities he’s visited. He once did often use his powers of hypnosis and transformation to turn entire villages into creatures much like him, but every time it simply left him feeling more empty than actually cared for by his new companions, and soon after he’d left the villages would return to normal, albeit having collectively lost a few days each time. Eventually he simply gave up trying to make his own friends, instead finding his way to a sleepy little town in the middle of Equestria known as Ponyville. There, on the outskirts of the town up a high mountain, he rested in a cave, and from his vantage he happened to spot a rather peculiar group of ponies (and one particulary shiny gryphon) all having fun together. As he watched them, a niggling thought crossed his mind – after such a long trip, perhaps he still had enough in him for one last go of making some friends before tonight…

Miscellaneous notes;

-Likes napping. A lot.

-Genuinely a kind guy once you get to know him.

-Favorite song to play is ‘For Auld Lang Syne’.

-Using his tail mouthpiece is an easy way to startle him, and get a healthy blast of air down your throat in return.

-All Scot Dragoons are partially biologically related to dracconequi.

-A Scot Dragoon can only be known as a Royal Scot Dragoon after their millenial birthday.

-His nickname is derived from his fighting style when he was a younger dragon; “Like a pissed-off donkey”.

-He can pull plaid inflatable bagpipe padding from under his Tam o’ Shanter hat when asked.

I mainly blame Minty for making me want to do this. But I got him thinking about nothing but being teased by puffy plaid bagpipe dragons today, so it evens out :P
