Nitpick is Canterlot’s Lord Magistrate and is notoriously vindictive, punishing ponies for the slightest crimes so as to get rich from fines. He’s corrupt to the core and is attempting to gain power by becoming Chairstallion of the Royal Canterlot Council.

He’s a coward at heart and hen-pecked by his wife…although in the case of Countess Magnifying Glass, it’s more like ‘vulture-pecked’.

Sir Cumbersome Clout is a fellow campaigner, a violent, bigoted old fool who hangs around Nitpick most of the time. He deludes himself into believing he’s a proud defender of Canterlot tradition and nobility whereas, in truth, his and Nitpick’s political campaign is a joke and it’s only through corrupt practices that they can get anywhere.

I didn’t mean to make him look like Mario, please don’t make that distinction. It’s meant to be based on those hunting caps you see on all those posh twits in the countryside.

Raven Inkwell in the bottom-right corner, runs the polls and points out that Nitpick’s popularity has plummeted thanks to the scandal involving Fleur and is expected to be his downfall.
