I finally decided to update his character. Anyone with a sharp eye will recognize that this guy…is quite literally one of the background ponies from “Appleloosa’s Most Wanted.” I thought he had a distinct design (mmm ponchos…) and I wanted to do something with him. I just made some slight changes for preference reasons. In fact, <del>Durango’s</del> Torreon’s first design was also based off of this pony.

He is still the son of Caballeron only this time Caballeron knows he exists. Attempts to get in contact with his son tend to be more trouble than it’s worth unfortunately. Mom is a scandelous egotistical meddlesome viper.

Personality wise, <del>Durango</del> Torreon is actually a nice pony. Fairly friendly if not a bit quiet. But strangers tend to give him a lot of space because his eyes look shifty and fierce. That is an unfortunate trait he inherited from his dad. Not much he can do about that. Sometimes it actually works in his favor, and sometimes it doesn’t.

He was born and raised for his first few tender years in the Southern Hemisphere. Roughly in a location similar to that of Central America. Wherever that might be on an Equestrian map. But unlike his previous iteration, Torreon is actually very well traveled by the time he meets up with Ponderosa Pine and Abbot Apple. Together they are the three caballeros! (Yeah like that Disney movie.) Sometimes he privately pines for a quiet stable life but he considers those to be his low points. He’s got a talent for gambling, or maybe it is a brilliant understanding of the games of chance. He wants to raise enough bits to retire a rich stallion.
