You decide to take your car so you can run some errands after you get done with this business. before leaving you put on some clothes and grab your gun, and your PDA which Brandy loads herself on before you walk out.
You sort of want to listen to some music on the way over, but your recent ex stole most of your tapes as well as your last deck which had your digital music saved on it. You decide to settle for the news radio.
[ Governor Honey Spout is calling for more regulation of construction companies after a rouge construction printer fabricated a 72 story building, on land that had not yet been prepped for foundation. The 72 Story structure is now in danger of collapsing under it’s own weight. Governor Spout had this to say. “We can’t let big construction endanger our children, just because they think it’s too costly to check their equipment. I feel, I know that the public will side with me if they knew, just how dangerous these printer glitches are becoming.” The Governor is proposing a bill that if passed would create an agency that would audit construction printers to prevent further mishaps. ]
The meeting place is a hole in the wall diner that’s about half a mile from the railroad tracks. When you get there, you remove your plates and put them in the trunk of your car. That car, that car is the only thing you have to remember your dad by. He left it to you when he died, which is lucky since you had a lot of half siblings that split up his estate into very small pieces. You never really knew the stallion, your mom and him spit up before you could talk.
As you sit there sipping your black coffee, a couple of suits sit down at your booth.
The big minotaur speaks up. “You got the files?”
“I don’t know, do you have my scratch?”
The Stallion with him places a laptop and pile of cash on the table in front of the minotaur. “The files please.”
