Description:
This is the second piece of a series I’m working on: Dark Pones. As you probably guessed, it is a Dark Souls x MLP set of drawings where I’ll do different bosses and characters of the Souls Series as MLP ones. I will start it off with all DS1 characters, for now, and after I’m done with all the Mane 6, I’ll see if people are more interested in seeing other characters of DS1, or if they’d be more into the M6 as DS2 characters, and so on.
Second on this list is Rarity as Lord’s Blade Ciaran. I felt it was pretty fitting. Of all the main knights under Gwyn’s command Ciaran’s obviously the more refined and stylish, and I feel it plays well with her. I originally also planned of adding Opalesence as Alvina of the Darkroot Wood, which aside from being cats, both Ciaran and Alvina have deep connections to Artorias and Sif. Felt fitting, but ultimately, design wise I felt I couldn’t do too much with Opalvina, aside form making Opal abit bulkier an with a wider mouth, and it isn’t as big a character as the others. Winona as Sif was way more important and fitting. Similar to what I did with Applejack, I originally planned on drawing her with the full set of armour, but I feel it’d have been too “heavy” visually, for a vector style, and it’d kinda defeat the crossover portion a bit, but I feel the chestpiece, cloth and porcelaine mask are good enough shows of the armour.
