Description:
- Amber walks in the house *
Amber: * deep sigh *
Lucky: Hey Amber.
Amber: Lucky? You’re still up? It’s so late. You should be sleeping
Lucky: I was getting worried. You’re usually not out this long.
Amber: Oh relax. I can handle myself. I was just at work
Lucky: Sorry. I can’t help it. I just can’t rest unless I’m sure you’re okay.
Amber: Aw, how sweet. Yeah, I was just working overtime. Is Hot Head down here?
Lucky: Nah, he’s sleeping.
Amber: Great, that means I can take my pants off. * takes off pants and jumps on couch *
Lucky: Alrighty then * looks away *. Since when did you care whether or not Hot Head was around? And what’s with you and pants?
Amber: Meh, I embarrass him too much. He’ll probably call the cops on me if I keep harassing him. And pants are very restricting. I like letting my legs breathe a bit, y’know?
Lucky: Pfft. Sure. It’s your house. So why’d you have to stay at work so long?
Amber: Oh, just some super awesome complicated nurse stuff you wouldn’t understand.
Lucky: Mmmmhhmmmm
Amber: Alright, alright, I guess it’s not toooo complicated. I did however, get to help deliver a baby today
Lucky: Really? That must’ve been gross
Amber: Not at all actually. It was……..it was so………….. beautiful. * smiles * Watching the mother hold her baby for the first time was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Not gonna lie, I cried a little bit.
Lucky: That’s really something
Amber: Yeah. Makes me wanna have my own baby someday
Lucky: * nervous laughter * Just make sure you wait ‘till your married, ‘kay? Or at least until Hot Head and I move out
Amber: What? Don’t think I can handle?
Lucky: N-no, I know you can. I’m just saying it’d be nice if you had a husband to help you out. That way, maybe he could work and you could spend time with the kid and stuff……. Yeah, that sounds right.
Amber: * giggles * I guess so. That’s what my parents did
Lucky: Whatever happened to your parents? What were they like? And how’d you end up at the orphanage? I-if you don’t mind me asking
Amber: Wow, that’s a lot of questions
Lucky: S-sorry, I’m just curious. I don’t remember my family so I was jus
Amber: * chuckles * I know, I know, calm down. Hmmmm…. let’s see….
Lucky: If you don’t remember it’s okay
Amber: No, I do…… kinda…. I mostly remember my mother. She was amazing. She was the one who stayed home and took care of me most of the time. My father…… he just worked all the time. He seemed like a nice guy but he kept to himself. When my mother passed, he just lost it and couldn’t take care of me so he took me to the orphanage not too long after. It was definitely for the best
Lucky: * nods * I’ve got another question
Amber: Ask away
Lucky: You seemed like such a perfect little girl. Why do you think you were never adopted? I mean, you were three right? Still really young
Amber: * bursts out in laughter * I was, wasn’t I? Well, I actually kinda acted out a lot so I wouldn’t get adopted
Lucky: What??? Why???
Amber: Well………. I dunno. I guess I was scared to have a family just to be abandoned again. The orphanage was just a safe place for me. Plus, you Annie and Hot Head came along. I liked taking care of you guys
Lucky: So you stayed for us?
Amber: ……Yeah
Lucky: Wow, thanks, Lil’
Amber: Of course. You guys are my babies. * yawns * Uuuugh. I should probably get to bed. You should too. * gets up and kisses Lucky on the head *
Lucky: Goodnight. Try not to run into Hot Head on the way up there
Amber: Yessir
- goes upstairs *
Hot Head: AMBER! PANTS!
