Description:
The national animals of North America's two countries - the Bald Eagle of the United States of America (USA) and the Beaver of Canada - in the style of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, a television show produced from the two nations!
This was made to commemorate both Canada Day (July 1st) and American Independence Day (4th of July). Originally, I was going to make a vector of a bald eagle for the 4th of July, but since the beaver is Canada's state animal and it definitely appeared in My Little Pony, I decided to have both state animals put together. I was initially going to give them flags to wave, but I didn't have a suitable background. So, I just put their countries' flags for a backdrop instead. I was also thinking about giving them hats; Uncle Sam's hat for the eagle, and the Canadian Mountie hat for the beaver, but I thought that was too much.
Even though I am born American, I have Canadian on my father's side of the family. So, I celebrate both their federal holidays. Since they commemorate their countries and because they are celebrated on the same week with only two days keeping them apart, it is worth celebrating them both together. To me, we are not just neighbors, we are friends.
Happy late Canada Day to my Canadian watchers and friends, and Happy early 4th of July to my American watchers and friends!!!
