Description:
I do know a couple tricks! Because I used to be terrified of needles, and they still give me the heeby-jeebies. What you have to do is just tell yourself over and over that it’s no big deal. Don’t think about it. Don’t look at the needle. You have to find a switch in your head and turn it off, desensitizing yourself to the needle. Distract yourself! Bring a friend, talk with them, and you can even tell the nurse to not tell you when she’s going to administer the needle. Because, let’s face it, when it comes down to it, you don’t feel a thing!
It’s mind over matter. If you can get control of your own mind, you can overcome anything. If you can’t do that, however, I’d suggest some psychological help, especially if the thought of needles gives you dizzy spells or anything :(
