Upon first meeting Clear Sky, Rainbow Dash was a little biased. The two unicorns she knew best, Rarity and Twilight (pre-ascension), could sometimes be unbearable. So she honestly wasn’t expecting much from Clear Sky, but she was very surprised to say the least. As the element of loyalty, Rainbow Dash had a deep admiration for Clear Sky’s devotion to her daughter, Wind Sprint. She couldn’t help feeling drawn to Clear Sky, or eventually falling deeply in love with her. She was just so genuine and caring and easy to talk to.

Clear Sky may be so approachable because she’s an empath, like Cadence. She’s a unicorn, but her magic isn’t particularly strong. Her true magic shows in her compassion.

Clear Sky is a lot taller than Dash. They only look about the same height because Dash’s hair is so poofy. Unicorns tend to be tall and elegant, while pegasi are the shortest of the pony races. Clear Sky is very short for a unicorn, but even still she’s taller than her wife by quite a bit.

Their eyes match each other’s coats. Dash’s eyes are pink, and Clear Sky’s are blue. Some say this is the sign of soulmates.

Unicorns in particular are very touchy, but only when they like someone. Sky’s affection often comes in the form of braiding Dash’s mane and tail, preening her feathers for her, or just standing shoulder-to-shoulder with her.

Sky’s one of the few ponies who listens to Dash ramble on and on about… well, anything. And it means the world to Dash that she actually listens. Similarly, Dash loves the sound of Sky’s singing voice, and tries every day to convince her to sing something.

Clear Sky doesn’t have cloven hooves, which is pretty rare among unicorns. This means she probably has strong traces of pegasus or earth pony <span class="caps">DNA</span> in her bloodline, most likely the former, which may be why all of her children ended up being pegasi.

Rainbow Dash gets super fluffy and feathery whenever Clear Sky enters the room. Pegasi tend to get all fluffy when they’re happy or excited- it’s a sign of warmth and love. Her wings flare up and everything.
