Now griffin has figured out who this unusual pony really is, how? well is by the features the pony who was explaining to griffin the concept of turning from one pony to another

features that the pony said was:

wide nose like a cave-pony

kinda sharp teeth

coat color

mane color

having hair growing on the front half of his front hoofs

husky voice

he found out when they looked at Hyde’s body before he came back to life if you saw one of my old arts of him getting out of the grave.

so griffin decided to go and get the pony since he also figured what he’s going to catch and especially he was holding stuff that looked like h was going somewhere.
