Next two pictures, expect one of them to be patriotic in some way lol. We finally get to our first East Coast state, Connecticut. It’s known as the Constitutional state and from what I read (ya’ll can correct me if I am wrong here), it is called that due to the fact that some of the framework in our Constitution derived from the state because of the “Connecticut Compromise”.
Charter Oak- Name comes from a famous White Oak tree that was a site during the Revolutionary war. It was said a charter was hidden there. And since the tree was eventually destroyed, I put a marker at the base of the white oak to commemorate it. I gave him polka-dots due to the tree’s back being circular. Colors represent different aspects- White and grey represent the tree (even though white oaks technically aren’t white) and I picked red for patriotism.
Nutmeg- I really love this one. Proves that neutral colors can still be interesting if you know how to use them and which ones to use hehe. One of the state’s nicknames is the Nutmeg state. So that’s where the name comes from and so I based her coloring off of different color nuts. Her cutie mark is suppose to be an acorn.
This is it for the ‘C’ states. Next up are the ‘D’s’. I sure hope I did good on representing Connecticut because it was a hard one for me due to being unfamiliar with the state, other than it being one of the original 13 colonies.
