“Mommy how come I have these marks? Cloudy doesn’t have them, neither do you or my other moms… or even auntie!” Nova said in exasperation, she spent too much of her mental time trying to figure it out. “My eyes are weird too…” she mumbled, as an add on. Luna smiled softly as her daughter put out her hoof to show off the mark on her legs. “Well Nova, I know someone who did have those marks and stars reflected in her eyes.” Nova, gaped. “Who?!”

“My mother Star Catcher, she had unique marks like these and starry eyes.” 

“…Well how come I’ve never met her?”

Luna was silent for a moment, “She’s been gone for quite a long time…” Nova thought it over, and then she realized. “Oh… I’m sorry, mommy.” She took her eyes off her mother and trained her focus on the floor. Feeling guilty for bringing up a sensitive topic. “It’s okay Nova, now get some rest. I know you need it.” She leaned downwards and placed a soft kiss on her daughters forehead, before standing up as Nova cuddled up next to her sister.

“Goodnight mom.” Nova sighed as she watched Luna walk out the door and into the hall. The foal stared at the bed sheets for awhile, before glancing at her older sister. “Did you hear that? I’m special like grandma.” She smiled, Cloudy simply let out a snore as she dreamt peacefully.

as you can clearly see, I was too lazy to do a background lol. So just imagine that they are in their bedroom, getting ready to go to sleep.

Anyways yeah, the first peak at Supernova! Albeit, as a young child. She’s probably only like 6 here, while Cloudy Skies, being the older sister is 12. This is sort of a story piece, and the only way I could figure to talk about my hc of Star Catcher being Luna and Celestia’s mother. I also did it because I love her design and wanted to give one of my ngs it, so of course, I chose the main character of the story!
