Alright, musical “Count Orlov” is taking place back in the 18th-19th century, when Catherine the Great was The Empress of All Russia.

Count Alexei Orlov was Catherine’s the Great close friend and the supreme general of the Russian fleet, but his burning and unrestrained character forced Catherine to send him away to Livorno, Italy, and send with him a loyal accompanying helper named Ivan to watch him. In Livorno, Orlov and Ivan come across a beautiful lady of the upper classes, who responds to the name of Elizabeth. Orlov cannot turn his eyes from the lady and asks Ivan to find out more about her. Turns out, Elizabeth is posing as the daughter of Empress Elizaveta Petrovna and Alexei Razumovsky, although there is no clear evidence whether it’s true or not. Elizabeth is being accompanied by Prince Radziwil of Poland and her personal servant Domanski, who desire to throw Catherine the Great from her throne and give Elizabeth the power over Russia.

<ins>Princess Celestia as Empress Catherine the Great</ins> – Both Catherine and Celestia are powerful rulers, Celestia is familiar with Starlight, so I thought it would be a nice choice

<ins>Starlight Glimmer as Count Alexei Orlov</ins> – Okay, so the reason for this choice was probably the most complicated and deep. There were total 5 Orlov brothers in the entire family and Alexei was the youngest of them all. Since Starlight Glimmer appeared as the last unicorn close to Twilight in the last seasons I thought it would be a nice idea to turn her into an Orlov brother and make Twilight the oldest, and Starlight, Moondancer and Rarity as other Orlov brothers.

<ins>Trixie Lulamoon as Elizabeth</ins> – I SHIP TRIXIE AND STARLIGHT, OKAY? Also, Trixie is pretty close to Starlight and Elizabeth and Orlov in the musical fell in love with each other. Additionally, Trixie was pretending to be the best of the best, when in reality she could only do magic tricks. Elizabeth was a pretender as well, so I consider this as a fair point.

<ins>Double Diamond as Ivan</ins> – Double Diamond was Starlight’s closest servant back at the village, so I thought it would be a nice idea, considering that Ivan leaves Livorno after some time and Ivan stays in there.

<ins>Snips as Prince Radziwill</ins> – Snips was a big fan of Trixie, kinda reminded me of Radziwill’s attitude towards Elizabeth in the musical.

<ins>Snails as Domanski</ins> – Same reason as for Snips.
